We have
purchased scenic acreage just outside Lovelock, Nevada. Lovelock today has many recreational facilities
including a well cared for rodeo grounds, an Olympic-sized swimming
pool, tennis courts, a trap-shooting club, a modern library, a
children's playground, a courthouse, and a shady park with picnic

Commerce has additional information regarding Lovelock. Please
visit Pershing
County Web site for more information. In the
fall, the Lovelock Valley becomes the hunter's paradise as deer,
pheasant, quail, chukkar, rabbit, and dove make interesting targets.
The area is within 2 1/2 hours of the finest Sierra skiing resorts
and 2 hours from Reno recreational facilities including the casinos!
The
mountains and hills surrounding Lovelock have more variety of
minerals than any similar sized area in the world. There are huge
iron ore deposits, and there are also deposits of gold, silver,
copper, mercury, tungsten, gypsum, diatomaceous earth, antimony,
sulfur, flourspar, platinum group and manganese. Needless to say,
the area is a rockhounders, bottle diggers and fossil hunters
paradise. One of the countries largest silver mines is located 26
miles from Lovelock. Diatomaceous earth is mined in only a few
places on earth and Lovelock is one of them.
There are
numerous old mining camps and ghost towns that offer tourists
glimpses back in to the history along the old Immigrant trail. The
big meadows area where Lovelock is located is a idea place for
agriculture, farming and ranching. The principal crop in the valley
surrounding Lovelock is high-protein alfalfa.
The
Lovelock area is also mecca for bird hunters and includes many
variety of other large and small game animals. There is plenty of
fishing in the Rye Patch and other reservoirs, Humboldt Rivers, and
many mountain streams. Big Meadows, a lush natural meadow in which
the Humboldt River disappears is approximately 2 miles northeast of
the present town site.
Lovelock
is also the gateway to the Rye Patch
State Recreation Area, an 11,000 acre reservoir with 72 miles of
shoreline formed by the Humboldt River. There’s swimming, a
campground, fishing, picnic grounds and other amenities available to
the traveler.
With an
elevation of around 4,000 feet the climate is semi-arid. The average
rainfall is 5.48” and an average snowfall of 8.7”. The summer
temperatures range from highs in the 90s and lows in the 60s with
winter temperatures ranging in the high 40s and in the teens for a
low.
This area
is considered Cowboy Country as it’s a region where the
traditional and the modern can live side-by-side.
The property corners in the subdivsion have been
surveyed and staked. Each ranchette has breathtaking views in every
direction. This property is located about 90
miles North of Reno, Nevada and could someday become a bedroom
community.
This property has been acquired with title insurance
and is free and clear of all liens and
encumbrances!
Also in
this area is a "secret" little hot spot called "Pyramid Lake" which is 35 miles NE of
Reno.
Pyramid
Lake is a favorite hunting ground for the fishermen who wade out
deep and cast for trout even in wintry weather.
Many
people relocate (or just want to have an "address") in Nevada due to
the fact there is no personal or corporate income tax, no
inheritance or gift tax, estate tax, and extremely low property
tax.
Nevada is
one of the fastest growing states in the U.S. and superior land
investments are becoming scarce.
