The local area is home to several well-known attractions worthy of a visit, such as bike & walking trails, horseback riding, canoeing, go carts, waterslides, 10 golf courses, two ski areas, museums and underground cavern adventures. Apple Valley is one of central Ohio's top rated golf courses. It is a par 72, 18-hole championship course on 160 beautiful acres. This challenging course is for the intermediate to advanced player and is open April to November 1, from 7 a.m. until dark. Soft spikes are mandatory for all golfers. Located at the privately owned Apple Valley Resort, the golf course is open to the public and annually hosts a variety of tournaments including the Ohio Public Links Championship.
